Pumpkins

We probably did what 90% of other families did for FHE the Monday before Halloween:
Pumpkin Carving!

Tyson, very interested in the process

 Here are the finished products.
I'm not going to lie, Tyson's was the worst. But we'll cut him some slack, cause he's 1.

Side note: He has been carrying that green candle around with him all morning.
He loves the way it smells.

Also he may have eaten a bit of it. I'm going to be more on top of that, starting now.

Tyson, the mummy

The Young Men and Young Women in our ward threw a little family activity night for the kids. It was a lot of fun, and Tyson even got into it. Here is a picture of the mummy-wrapping contest.

He was surprisingly calm the entire time.

He ended up looking a little like a Muslim woman.
I think he should have won for cuteness alone. But what do I know?

Patio

Rem and I have been saying that we should have had more people over to our house before making all of these improvements. No one understands why when we show them our now average-looking bathroom, we tend to talk it up like it was transplanted here from Celine Dion's home herself.

They didn't see it before.

I don't have a before picture of our "patio" out back, but take my word for it, it was crud-city.
 Here's the crew
Spectating is key to projects like this

We put Tyson's hand print in the garbage can pad we poured on the side (you're welcome future owners of this home). Also, thanks Weston for your precision in writing his name and shaping the blob that was his "handprint" into an actual looking hand.

 Stamping
Joe just threw his shoes away at the end. We all sacrificed.
 VOILA! Finished product.
What the...? How did that get in there?
Oh man, now everyone thinks I'm the type to post cute pictures of this
 kid unnecessarily all the time.
He must've gone back and added this.

So thanks again to all of our crew, you are the best, I LOVE how it turned out!

Park City in STYLE

Rem's new job is working out really nicely for me us. Last month when his team hit their monthly goal, he brought home a brand new iPad. This month we got a free weekend at the Montage in Park City.

It was pretty great.

Check out the room.

 Fireplace,
 Walk-in closet,
 Bathing facilities!!!

We of course had to make a pit-stop at Wal-Mart before we got our swanky weekend off and running. My favorite part of our trip was when Rem's boss called to make sure we had gotten to the hotel and checked in alright. Rem said we had, we were just at Wal-Mart, to which Justin replied, "I got you 2 nights at the nicest hotel in Utah and you're at Wal-Mart?!"

We are not that classy. But boy, the cold cereal and juice never quit flowing in room 923.

We took the shuttle down to main street Saturday after getting out of our room about, oh, 1pm. (We had to finish Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous....(Could she possibly save Miss America AGAIN?! C'est impossible!))

Other than that, we literally did nothing. We lounged in the room all day, watched movies, ate peanut M&M's, took naps, etc. It was awesome.

Oh, AND we ate at Ruth's Chris Saturday night with Rem's company. We were laughing pretty good to ourselves as we listened to everyone talk about their day at the spa, and their massages, and facials, and pedicures.

Well, were there any Reese's Puffs at your fancy spa? I didn't think so.

GREAT WEEKEND.

Slave Labor...err, I mean FAMILY time.

I think we may have found Tyson's calling in life: Car Washer.

He especially loves going over spots you've already done about 14 times, to make sure it's done right.

 Rem helped a bit.
Also, have I ever mentioned that this kid LOVES water? Give him a muddy puddle and a piece of watermelon, and you've got yourself a 4 hour babysitter.

I helped too, I wasn't just barking orders and telling them to look cute for the camera (Remington). I just stopped for a second to grab some pictures of my boys in action. Good call, no?
